I’m excited to announce that Lime Connect is launching its community blog, The Lowercase d. We hope that you will join us each week for helpful career advice, internship and full time job opportunities, to hear personal stories from our Lime Network members, and updates from our corporate partners. We have worked hard to design something that will be both enjoyable to read, inspiring to contribute to, and useful as you advance in your schooling and careers. We hope that you’ll participate, as this is your community! Feel free to comment on a post and start a conversation. Of course also please follow our blogging etiquette guidelines to ensure the best experience for all.
Wondering why we named the blog The Lowercase d? Read this piece from Greg Murray, Friend of the Lime Network.
I invite you to take a sneak peak below into what we have in store for The Lowercase d each month.
Once a week
Lime Q & A: Your Questions. Our Answers.
Each Tuesday our director of professional development will answer one question from a Network member. Have a question you’d like to ask us about school, work, or career? Send us a private message via Facebook!
Thursday, Week 1
Each month we’ll select our partners’ job postings and opportunities to share or give you updates on important career trends.
Thursday, Week 2
Partners…In the LimeLight
Each month we check in with one of Lime Connect’s corporate partners to get the scoop on what’s new at their company, interesting things happening in the industry, and anything else they’d like to share!
Thursday, Week 3
Spotlight on our Network
Each month we profile a member of our Network to hear about their successes and challenges. We'll hear how they are navigating their disabilities and careers.
Thursday, Week 4
Lessons from the Road
Finally, we'll explore professional and career topics, in more depth, once a month. Topics may include things like interviewing successfully, disclosing a disability, managing a team, understanding leadership styles, etc.
We look forward to bringing you interesting and education pieces each week and hope you’ll participate in engaging the community with your own opinions and dialogue on our posts. You, the Lime Network, are what will make this blog a success!
All the best,
Susan Lang, President and CEO
